Calling tech support at any PC vendor

prompt the same "off the card"
response..."Format and reload your
system". This is terrible advice.

company "tech support" workers are in
their current positions. For the
most part, they read instructions off
cue cards and "support scripts" without
truly understanding the subject matter

There are dozens of products on
the Internet offering to clean
your computer that actually do
much more harm to your system
than good.
These fake
cleaners and "doctors" do
nothing but hijack your PC,
holding the system hostage until
you pay an outrageous fee to
"clean" the system (usually $89
or higher). They purposely
infect your system in an attempt
to extort the "cleaner" fee from
you. (Spy Sheriff, et al)
