The business was started with
a simple objective.
Create a legal, licensed vehicle
for charging our friends,
neighbors, and family for all of
the free technical support we
used to give away! Too
often, we heard horror stories
about incompetent technical
installations and repairs
performed by "friends of
friends" or "big box" newbies.
We've cleaned up a LOT of their
work (ahem).
Who are our
target business customers?
Dentists, Real Estate Offices
and Agents, Insurance Agents,
Churches, Retail, Restaurants, TeleWorkers, Non-profits, Radio
Stations, or any
group/organization wanting to
focus on their core business and
still take advantage of the
technology available to larger
companies. Do you already
have an "IT Person" on staff,
but he or she could use some
help with a special project? No job is too small,
but there are some jobs that are too
big...
Who are our target home PC
customers?
Anyone needing an experienced
technology professional to set
up a home network, clean a PC of
viruses and spyware, make an
upgrade (or several upgrades) to
an existing PC, or any other
PC-based service. Would
you like training on
Microsoft Office? Would
you like to play or record DVDs
on your home PC? Do you
have a wireless router that is
not properly secured? Does
your PC need a RAM (memory)
upgrade? Are you running
out of hard drive space?
Does your PC seem unusually
slow, have trouble starting up
or shutting down? Do you
want to buy a new PC but need
help selecting a model, setting
it up, or migrating files?
We can help!

Do we provide services to
large companies, too?
As mentioned above, there are
some jobs that are too big.
It depends on the business and
the situation, but most large
corporate projects require M-F,
8-5 onsite attention.
Two
of our three technical resources
already have full-time IT
positions with other companies
which prevent most "business
hours" work.
Our
services are available after
hours and on weekends.
What services do we offer?
Use the topic links on the right
side of the page for an overview
of each area of service.
If we are
not experienced on a product, we
will not accept the project.

The Linksys RV042 VPN
Router can provide
secure, encrypted
Virtual Private
Networking access to
your home or office
network. |
There's nothing worse than
paying an IT company/consultant to "learn"
a product on your dime (and
time). Its unethical to
charge for 4 days of consulting
time on a job that would only
take an experienced consultant
or contractor 2 days to perform.
You have
our word that if the scope of
the job is outside of our
expertise, we will not take the
job.
Do we subcontract jobs?
What will we do if we run into
an issue needing a
highly-specialized resource?
We do not subcontract jobs.
All work performed by MIS-LLC
will be handled ourselves.
If you need assistance with a
project that is outside of our
expertise, we will be happy to
recommend a company or group
that we've worked with
personally. Under no
circumstances will we make a
recommendation about a product
or service that we don't already
have a working relationship.
By making a recommendation, we
are promising to you that the
company is competent, ethical,
and trustworthy.
Would you like us to be your
official "IT Department"?
Small Business, especially,
needs to focus on their
business. Let us take care
of the computer infrastructure.
You give us your goals, and
we'll find a way to economically
meet those goals. Does
your business have growing
pains? Are you needing
competent IT help but can't
afford $100k a year for a
full-time staff addition?
Pull us in part-time, pick what
projects are important to you,
pay only for what you use.
