The Technical Team at MIS-LLC has over 80 years of computing experience!  The "Moores" of Moore Information Systems, LLC includes two brothers and our dad.  Tech runs in the family.

Steven M. Moore, MCSE, Owner

I am employed full-time as an "IT Systems Engineer III" managing a modern Windows network infrastructure for a large telecom & cable company in the Charlotte, NC area.  I started Moore Information Systems, LLC in 2006 as a part time project to provide Information Technology services to my friends and neighbors as they struggled to find competent IT support.

At the time, I was the IT Director of a $30m fleet services company covering 25 locations in the US.  Having the expertise (and after-hours availability) to help, I started the company as a way to formalize the business relationship and market my services.

Using the proven technology & services template from my IT Director position, I applied those same designs to the consulting customers at MIS-LLC.

After passing the 6 exams necessary to become a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) in 1999, I've applied my training, experience, and skill development to the entire scope of modern "Information Technology".  While formerly employed with a Microsoft Solutions Provider (American Computer Solutions), my primary duties included  building Microsoft Exchange email servers and providing technical lead on several non-email projects.  Clients included Okuma America and CIT Group in Charlotte, Old Dominion Freight Lines in High Point, Cone Mills and Galey & Lord in Greensboro, and BMW Manufacturing in Spartanburg.  Prior to my current position, I spent 1 year as a contractor to Duke Energy in Email Design & Support.

In my former full-time capacity as an IT Director, I enjoyed the complete combination of technical and management responsibilities.  I am a former co-chair and past website developer of the Charlotte Cisco Users Group which meets monthly to present technical topics related to Cisco-based routers, switches, and networking.  I also volunteer  development time and server space for a fine church, Cornerstone Baptist Church of Rock Hill, SC (http://www.cbrh.org).  I have an AAS degree from Central Piedmont Community College in Networking Technology (2010).

I've been married for 23+  years and have 2 daughters; one on a full Presidential Scholarship at Queens University of Charlotte and another at the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis.  I enjoy computers as a hobby, Bible studies, river & pond fishing, music (playing & listening), and digital photography.

John C. Moore, MCSE, CCNA, A+
My brother John is a full time System Administrator for a large banking institution located in Winston-Salem.  He is directly responsible for an array of over 650 servers and their day-to-day mission critical availability. Having attained the Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer and Cisco Certified Network Associate status in 1999, John  spent 3 years on staff at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center's IT dept in Winston-Salem and 3 years at Cone Mills in Greensboro managing servers.  Prior to joining the bank, John spent 3 1/2 years as a server administrator at Hanes Brands (formerly part of Sara Lee).

John has developed a powerful skill set capable of delivering the results you need for any home or office project.  John and his wife Stephanie have a 4-year old son and a 2-year old daughter.  John enjoys motorcycle riding, camping, snowboarding, amateur digital photography, and amateur astronomy. 

Darris R. Moore
Our father (the world famous training, Transaction Processing Facility guru, & Quality Assurance data analyst), Darris Moore, is our daytime technical contact for your business.  Bringing a rich skill set from 40 years of industry leading high-level data center and airline experience (Piedmont Airlines, USAir, Sabre, and EDS), Darris provides our company the confident, in-depth knowledge you'll need with a genuine customer service mindset.  Specializing in desktop connectivity, wireless networking, PC troubleshooting, and Virtual Private Networking, your business staff can rest assured that a competent technician is only a phone call away during normal business hours. 

After retiring from one of the world's largest technology companies in 2005 (Electronic Data Systems), Darris has spent considerable time piloting his Honda ST1100 Sport Touring motorcycle throughout the Appalachians.  He's an expert smallmouth bass fisherman and amateur wildlife/wildflower photographer.
